Duties:

  • Develop and handle product strategies and roadmaps for digital-transformation initiatives. 

-Define and execute product strategies for digital transformation features, such as AI-powered process automation, cloud migration tools, data integration platforms, and cybersecurity enhancements. Align roadmaps with market trends, customer feedback, and business objectives

-Own and create product release plans in Jira Advanced Roadmaps that balance feature delivery with technical debt remediation and platform reliability (SLO/error-budget aware)

-Partner with business, enterprise architects and engineering teams to align roadmap with product modernization goals (microservices, cloud-native, Open Banking APIs, containerization, CI/CD, ISO 20022).

 

  • Conduct market and user research to identify customer requirements, industry trends, and competitive products.

-Conduct in-depth analysis of industry trends in digital transformation (e.g., IoT integration, blockchain for supply chains, zero-trust security models). Gather insights from customers, stakeholders, and competitors to identify opportunities and pain points.

-Explore emerging technologies (e.g., generative AI, edge computing) for integration into the product suite. Assess risks related to digital transformation, such as data privacy compliance (GDPR, CCPA) and scalability.

-Analyze industry and regulatory trends such as ISO 20022 migration, NACHA rule changes, and instant-payment interoperability to ensure the roadmap aligns with compliance, scalability, and modernization goals within the cloud native payments ecosystem.

-Evaluate fintech third-party product integrations for fraud (RSA, Threatmatrix), KYC, identity, analytics through API feasibility and security assessments

 

  • Translate business requirements into product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

-Lead backlog grooming, user story creation, and prioritization using frameworks like RICE or MoSCoW. Translate business requirements into detailed product specifications, wireframes, and acceptance criteria

-Work with architects and engineers to break complex business requirements into OpenAPI-based API specs, canonical data models, and sequence/state-machine workflows, kept aligned with enterprise architecture and payments standards (ISO 20022, NACHA, FedNow, RTP)

-Maintain up-to-date expertise in payment standards and author field-level mapping specifications from legacy formats (MT103, NACHA) to ISO 20022 (pain.001, pacs.008, camt.054), including transformations and validation rules.

-Translate architecture/technical debt issues into measurable business outcomes and backlog items, ensuring modernization priorities support UX, regulatory adherence, and secure-by-design principles

 

  • Coordinate with engineering, design, marketing, and customer-success teams to deliver software products using agile methods (Scrum, Kanban).

-Partner with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to deliver high-quality products on time. Facilitate agile ceremonies, resolve blockers, and ensure seamless handoffs from ideation to launch

-Define, evaluate, and realign MVP scope with Agile technical leads prioritizing features and user stories using SAFe practices WSJF (Weighted Shortest Job First) within Scrum/Kanban while balancing technical feasibility with functional acceptance for incremental delivery

-Lead Product Software Life Cycle activities through Agile ceremonies like PI Planning, Iteration Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Review and prioritize QA reported defects, Review the test results from QA and accept the User stories, System Demos, and Inspect-and-Adapt session in alignment with SAFe principles

-Create wireframes and partner with UX/marketing to ship responsive, WCAG-aligned interfaces using FIGMA

 

  • Define and analyze product KPIs such as adoption, ROI, and user engagement; use metrics to drive continuous improvement.

-Establish KPIs (e.g., adoption rates, time-to-value, ROI for transformation projects) to measure product success. Analyze user data and feedback to iterate on features, driving continuous improvement

-Work with data engineering to specify telemetry requirements, API event schemas, log fields, and ingestion pipelines followed by monitoring adoption, throughput/latency, and ROI via SQL queries and AI-assisted dashboards

-Collaborate with architecture/engineering to integrate ML models for user segmentation and feature adoption forecasting, manage the lifecycle with MLOps (training/validation, deployment, drift alerts, retraining) and use results to prioritize the roadmap and tune CX/performance

 

  • Prepare product documentation, updates, and presentations for leadership and stakeholders.

-Present product updates, demos, and business cases to executive leadership and external partners. Advocate for user needs while balancing technical feasibility and market viability.

-Produce BRDs and FSDs with clear, testable requirements, OpenAPI contracts, canonical data fields, and sequence/state diagrams so Agile teams can build exactly what’s intended

-Prepare and present release metrics, roadmap updates, and ROI analyses to senior stakeholders.

 

  • Support product launch and adoption through beta testing, training materials, and customer onboarding.

-Coordinate go-to-market activities, including beta testing, training materials, and pilot programs to ensure successful adoption by enterprise clients.

-Participate in UAT/beta testing with QA and pilot clients to verify end-to-end flows user experience and non-functional requirements (throughput, latency, security) executed through manual and automation testing frameworks before go-live

-Produce and govern API onboarding documentation, reusable data-mapping worksheets, and technical training for integration partners

-Provide source content to the technical writing team regarding product enhancements and ensure end-user guides are updated and versioned for every release


Education: Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.


Professional Experience:

  • Experience in digital banking, payments, enterprise financial software, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Proven track record of launching software products and platforms (such as SaaS workflow automation and analytics solutions).
  • Strong background in creating technical specifications, designing integrations, and driving cross-functional delivery in partnership with architecture and engineering teams.

Technical Expertise: 

  • Payments domain: ACH/NACHA, Instant Payments (RTP, FedNow), Wires (Fedwire, CHIPS), and ISO 20022 message flows (pain/pacs/camt) including exception/returns and reconciliation.
  • Strong understanding of digital technologies including cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), AI/ML, APIs, DevOps, SQL and data architectures. Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools like Jira, Confluence, or Product board. Experience in QA is plus.

Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with digital transformation frameworks (e.g., McKinsey's Digital Quotient, Gartner's maturity models) and sectors like finance, healthcare, or manufacturing undergoing rapid change.

Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities. Ability to influence without authority, manage ambiguity, and foster innovation in a fast-paced environment. Data-driven mindset with experience in A/B testing and user analytics (e.g., using Amplitude or Mixpanel).

Preferred Certifications: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)/SAFe POPM.
